Episode #2-Creating a Sanctuary in the Home

Episode #2-Creating a Sanctuary in the Home

The family is under attack!  This is real and we must fortify our families in order to equip our families to withstand the fiery darts of the adversary.  There is a lot we can do but we must take action.  We must do more than talk about all that’s wrong in the world.

Please listen as Monica introduces four ideas that can help strengthen the family and create a refuge from the world in our homes.  Our homes should be our families’ sanctuary–a place of peace, a place to refill our cups, a place to relax, a place to feel safe and loved.  We can do this.  You can do this.  Let’s begin.

Hi Monica! I was at the session you did this past weekend at the FPEA homeschool convention in Orlando. I was blessed then and blessed now after listening to your podcast! We have been homeschooling for 4 years and my oldest just graduated high school. I was a little bummed in our first years of homeschooling because there are so many things that I have learned now that I wished I had done differently when she was younger. But the Lord is soooo good and has quieted my heart reminding me that He redeems all of our mistakes 🙂 God bless you!

    • Monica Irvine says:

Thank you so much Patty! That makes me happy :). Yes, I feel the same way. I would imagine every parent on this earth would like to have many redo’s with our children, but somehow God knew that even with our mistakes, if we included him in raising them, it would be enough. I hope continue to listen.

Such an encouragement! I’m so glad you said that it’s a lie that siblings can’t get along. My girls, ages 14 and 10, are best friends and always have been. People keep telling me to just wait. It won’t last. I rebuke that and claim that they will have a close, loving relationship all the days of their lives. Thank you for confirming that it is possible.

    • Monica Irvine says:

Amen Susan!! So glad you have witnessed that. Yay for your family. It’s such a blessing 🙂
